Bathrooms and kitchens are both big no-nos in our place for rats free-ranging, too many holes. I once had...

Re: Toast needs some help

They will either be screwed on - possibly with caps over the screws which pull off - just remove the screws and it will come off. Some more modern ones which are just plastic are pushed in and will come aw...

Re: Foster homes offered in the South East of England and Lo
I'll be able to foster from Novemberish
I have an abode cage, lots of toys etc and a good vet nearby.
I also don't currently own any of my own so could be used as a go between if they need quarantining etc
I'm near Faversham, Kent.

Re: Rats Smell (Possible upsetting topic)
It's really interesting reading these replies, especially as some people have noticed a smell and others haven't. Weirdly, my Oz smells bad to me at the moment - a bit 'off'. My boyfriend can't smell it though so Im not sure if Im really smelling something different or not, but I do sniff the boys a...

Re: Rats Smell (Possible upsetting topic)
Well, yeap now I feel weird/silly asking
It is possible that there were some underlying issues causing it but if that were the case I didn't notice any other symptom other than the smell!
Thanks for the replies

Rats Smell (Possible upsetting topic)
Hi everyone this has been something I've been thinking about for a while it was just so weird I never got around to posting it, plus at the time I felt like I was losing rats left right and center :( Have any of you noticed your rats seem to smell 'bad' before they pass away? The first rat I noticed...

Re: Possibly heart related.
His spleen isn't as enlarged anymore, the vet was having a feel apparently and said it doesn't feel as large! :D So he's finishing of the course of antibiotics and I think from what my parents said he'll see him again in two weeks. Unless of course he gets bad again and then he'll go back sooner :lo...

Re: Urgent! Possible heart related.
Just to let you know I believe that ACE inhibitors shouldn't be given with NSAID pain killers. I was told not to do this when I had someone on both before  Should be fine with ACE inhibitors, but NSAIDs can reduce the effectiveness of diuretics. Well, according to my vet - I asked this exact ...
