Re: Best place to buy correx

I would check nearby yourself, do you have anywhere that does perspex/plastic products? I know I've just found somewhere about a mile away from my home that does it quite cheap! If it helps, it can also be known as biplex, fluted polypropylene, fluted display boards, corrugated polypropylene sheet o...

New rat - won't eat much!

On Sunday I adopted a new rat - yet to be named - who seems to have zero interest in food, unless it's brown bread. He has maybe 2 or 3 nibbles of anything then will put it down and won't eat it again... he's quite skinny, weighs 299g. Tried him on carrots, sprouts, mashed potato, beans with sauce, ...

Re: Water bottles

I use a glass bottle... it's the Kaytee one. I can't find it on the p@h website (where I got it from) but it's the one with the little duck in

Malt paste

For people who are fans of the beaphar malt paste... I've found a slightly cheaper alternative.
Wilkos has started doing "malt licking treat" for £2 a tube... it's in the section with the cat treats and things.

The rats went craaaazy for it. It was so cute watching them all boggling away!

Penile prolapse advice

So... a little bit of background story. Benny had a penis prolapse a week or so ago but it sorted itself out and went back in. So now, he has had a prolapsed penis for around 2 days. He's been on metacam for 1 day and is being lubricated at least twice a day. He's improving and it is going back insi...

What protein source do you use in your dry mix?

The title pretty much says it all...
I'm due to start making up a new batch of food and want to switch the protein that I use at the minute. Any and all suggestions welcome :D

Re: Really upset with FR

Definitely keep the feeder breeder section as it is in my opinion. My brother has owned a snake since I was around 4 (I'm 20 now) and I have witnessed him feeding her rats throughout the years. At no point in my life has this been distressing, scary or has terrified me... it was just a matter of fac...

Re: Door Stop Rubber Nibbled - Will I ever learn??

hannahbear - I have a rubber strapped watch too and they have had a go - in fact not much they don't try nibble. When they are washing my face though they are very careful with my eyelids. No doubt a future post will be me saying they have eaten an eyelid! Yes, that happened on the same trip to see...
