Re: Territorial Rat - Neutering the only option? Fighting lo

Someone else suggested Tardak as a possibility, at least in the short term. I asked my vet about it and they consulted an exotic vets who said that they would not recommend Tardak unless a general aesthetic examination and possibly x-rays had been done, to check for any systemic reason for aggressio...

Re: Territorial Rat - Neutering the only option? Fighting lo

They are currently doing fine for the last week and all happily sleep together, but when Gallifrey wants to he claims another hammock and my more nervous older at doesn't go near it, I don't think he dares and the HLD rat can't get to it. But as these 2 are older there will be a time when he needs n...

Re: Older rat with tumour

Aww, so glad your ratty is doing OK. Great news. Hopefully the other tumour will stay small. Yeah, they are concerned about the resp issue, which is why I'm not sure about surgery for him, as he's had it all his life and no amount of drugs has got rid of it. Vet rang back and said they think it's a ...

Territorial Rat - Neutering the only option? Fighting lots

Hi, I have a rat called Gallifrey who is 1 year 9 months and 2 rats that are approximately 2 years and 4 months old. All males. Gallifrey is picking on the other 2 and huffing up lots when he does it. They get quite scared but also don't fully back down, grind their teeth at him, then eventually run...
