I HAD to put uncaged as my 2 younger boys can still get through the bars and one is soo stupid that he cant figure out how to get back inside :lol: They ususally come and play on me for roughly 30 mins to 1 hour then they go to sleep.

If it looks like hiccups, then it probably is hiccups. :mrgreen: Mine tend to get hiccupy when they're about to brux and boggle, or have just finished bruxing and boggling. No cos as soon as i notice it and get my phone it stops, it only ever lasts about 5 seconds or so.

It looks abit like he has hiccups and there is no noise, as soon as i pick him up he stops and his chest sounds clear.

No he seems perfectly normal after and i dont think it's epilepsy cos when i tickle his ears he seems to "come out of it" most of the time.

Biocatolet for litter and towels for bedding, if they can be used again then i was them otherwise they go in the bin.

Crusty nose

Just wondering if a crusty nose is normal?
Harvey has always had one and sneezes now and then, vet says there is nothing wrong with him.
Ive seen the odd pic of rats on here ive noticed that some of them have slight crusties to.

My rat(Harvey) has had a lump removed on the 29th august. I first took him when i noticed the lump then i took him again when i noticed it had changed - gotten bigger, losing weight, lethargic. I found that the only thing i had to do after he had his surgery was put him in a spare cage with a clean ...

Ok thanx, ive noticed that he only does it when he's awake. They are only on fleece atm till they can go in with my older boy as the cage they are in is actually one huuuge one, and it can be split in half height ways and i dont have a spare tray, once they can all go in together ill be giving them ...

Ok thanx, i dont know wether to be worried, i got them on the 19th i think would they still be settling in? and they are on a fleece blanket with biocatolet litter tray (they were on this as a substrate before)

Poorly ratty?

Ive recently got 2 young boys and they were sneezing abit when i first got them home and i put it down to stress.
One of them sneezes rarely and the other is still sneezing ALOT it also sounds abit "congested"
I would take him to the vets but i cant handle him yet. :(
HELP!?

My boy's had a lump removed recently and has his check up tomorrow, i know i was worrying about him when he was in.

Came home last night and slept for 4 hours then expected to come out and play :lol: much to his disgust i said no :) but he seems perfectly fine today, nibbled on chicken and sausage today :D
He has a huuge bald patch haha
