Re: How many rats can this cage have?

Many thanks for the info it really is appreciated. My only worry is that we don't have room for another cage so if introductions go wrong we are a little bit snookered. We got very lucky with her two boys that we got from a local pets at home, but now we both know more about rats I would ideally lik...

Re: How many rats can this cage have?

Thank you both very much for your reply and help and yes more than happy to add it to the layout thread :)

If we decide to wait until the summer holidays when they are a year and a half is that still an okay age to introduce babies?

Many thanks again,

Jeanne

How many rats can this cage have?

Hi all, My daughter has the Freddy Max 2 cage in which we have taken all the shelves out and added ropes etc to give the rats more exercise and stimulation (picture attached). She is wanting to add more rats now that her two boys are a year old as she does not want one to be left on its own when one...

Would you be able to replace the pictures that you originally posted please? They may be useful to someone else in the future. ;) Of course, sorry again for any problems moving the photos may have caused. http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r577/JeanneNicoleBlair/Scabbers%20and%20Euan/Euans%20tail%...

Re: Jenny / Freddy 2 max cage/ Tom 82 cage

The last picture has gone... please avoid renaming or moving any photos referenced on this site, the pictures may be of help to someone else in the future. I'm so sorry, I'm completely new to this photo bucket thing and didn't realise by putting the photos in an album it would cause a problem. Hope...

Re: Need some ideas for a shelf free cage

No he has a brother Euan, my husband didn't want any rats so two was the maximum he would agree to otherwise it would have definitely been more. I have seen the ropes that attach to the cages at ratRations. Would you get different lengths to criss cross or the same and would you just attach the bask...

Need some ideas for a shelf free cage

My Daughters rats (well to be precise one rat!) who is toilet trained most of the time, likes to pee on the plastic shelves in the cage, so after reading some helpful posts on here we have removed them. They can both access everything in the cage (pictures shown below), and I am about to order a fle...

Re: Tic tac wheel

I have the Freddy Max 2 cage. I contacted the maker of the wheels and she said because it has a 1cm bar spacing the middle bolt would be too large and not fit. She can however make it with a stand. I am just a bit worried about it being free standing.

Re: Tic tac wheel

I don't know about it in terms of smell but I invested in a 14" wheel for my lads and I would say it is well worth it. Just that extra couple of inches makes a BIG difference for boy rats and lads of mine that had long stopped running in the wheel are now back running again. Well worth the £40 pric...

Tic tac wheel

I bought a silent spinner for my daughters boy rats as I didn't want to spend a fortune on a tic tac one if they were not going to use it. They both love it but one of them likes to pee in it too! She cleans it out daily but even with the disinfectant and odour spray it still smells. Would a metal t...

Re: Problem with tail

It doesn't seem red/inflamed or causing him any pain so will probably just monitor him then.
