Re: Slight facial swelling?

I second the splitting of the metacam, definitely better. Also, I would ask to have your boy on synulox too as my very trustworthy vet told me that it penetrates abscesses better. I've always used synulox and baytril for facial abscesses as they can escalate so quickly. I find hummus is another grea...

Re: Carrier Method - Stalemate

What you're seing is normal. As long as no one is getting hurt, you want to be waiting until they're all sleeping together at least some of the time. So they need to be staying in the carrier until that happens. Usually I keep mine in the small cage (will be about the same size as your carrier) for ...

Lol! I think being relatively hard to reach helps. I punched the holes myself though so I could have used a metal clip instead, though it would be fiddly...

Re: Savic Space Pod x-large: Question

Got a pic - one of the whole bed (excuse the unhoovered windowsill behind!) and one of the cable tie attaching it together :)

Re: should i get a nebulizer?

I also have an omron. Most of mine who've needed it have been happy to sit with the mouth piece a cm or so from their nose. For newbies who don't like being held I balance the mouthpiece outside a small cage and find they'll happily sleep in the nebuliser stream as they quickly learn it makes them m...

Re: Savic Space Pod x-large: Question

I take the lids off and then about five girls can fit together, then I cable tied the lids together and hung that up to make an oval pod, I've seen eight in there. Hamster balls are great, either as walkways with several on a rope or with three chains as a bed. The large balls would fit eight to ten...

I find it varies from flavour to flavour, I just chuck when it looks different like I do with yoghurt ;)

If they're powder capsules isn't that better anyway? As you can just split the powder :)

Re: acceptable hoovering....

Depends on the neighbours! I think if they can hear it and it's happening regularly they might not be happy. I'd probably wait and do it when I got up instead as it's only 2mins. But then I live in a flat so it's a bit more important here..

Re: Lumpy Dilemma

Don't think it's a steroid... Fairly sure on that. It is expensive though - £48 for 7mls. That does last a few months though if you've just the one rat on it :)
