Re: scabs and cuts on shoulders, already treated with iverme

We were told to treat again with the ivermectin as soon as we can following the first treatment, just incase, and to bathe any sore looking areas with hibi. He has also started him on baytril. I did wonder whether it could be related to the heat wave, if he has reacted to the pollen/heat..? I'm just...

Yes he has. I would normally expect to see improvement by now so you could be right. Do I need to wait longer before treating him again with another product? He was treated 4 days ago.

scabs and cuts on shoulders, already treated with ivermectin

One of the boys has got scabby/cut skin all around his upper half. I have already treated with ivermectin, but it doesn't seem to be getting any better. None of the other boys have any symptoms.

Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Hard lumps on/around jaw

I've just collected him from the vets, apparently it was a massive abscess. It has been shaved and lanced. The vet wasn't there to talk to though as she was away on an emergency call. She is calling me tomorrow to discuss meds and what actually happened. It still feels very hard and lumpy though.. h...

Hard lumps on/around jaw

I've just felt 2 hard, non-movable lumps on Orwell's jaw- one underneath and one to the side.

:( Any ideas anyone?

He is 100% fine in himself, eating and drinking as normal and no other problems.

Re: Help - anyone online - sort of choking situation

Hey,

Hope Pebbles OK now?

I had this exact same situation about a year ago, major panic in the middle of the night.. not nice.

I fell asleep with him in the carrier next to me. By the morning, the boy is question was back to his usual self.

Blocked bladder

Merlin is currently in at the vets due to having a severely blocked bladder :( We just received a call from our vet to say she has successfully managed to unblock him, and that a lot of bloody urine came out (which she would expect). She is keeping him in for another few hours to observe him. I am n...

Re: Any London agouti rescue people out there?

Hi, we haven't had it cultured yet, although I did bring it up with my vet. We have tried what feels like lots of different meds so far. I don't really know much about culturing, I presume it wouldn't provide any information regarding whether it is actually more than just an abscess? Sorry, I've nev...

Any London agouti rescue people out there?

I really need some help regarding an extremely stubborn and nasty abscess at the base of the neck we are dealing with and have been advised that I may be able to get some advice from anyone involved in London agouti rescue, as there were similar issues with the rats involved.

Can anyone help? :luck:

Hiding meds.. help!

Boromir cannot stand the taste of loxicom and I am having real trouble disguising it, I've tried what feels like everything :( Banana, peanut butter, nutella, Soya pudding.. he detects it a mile off. If he does get a bit in his mouth he spits it out and rubs his mouth along the floor. His abscess is...
