They are all fancy rats. You have a mixture of top eared and dumbo ears.

Re: Savic royal suite for young rats

I think some SRS's a while ago were being supplied with 2 bottom panels instead of bottom and top so there were loads of complaints about escaping rats.

Re: Little friends Mamble or Coco cage

I don't think anyone currently on the forum has both but someone who used to use the forum has had both and handily wrote a review for each which can be found here http://www.fancyratsforum.co.uk/viewtop ... 30&t=17509 and here http://www.fancyratsforum.co.uk/viewtop ... 30&t=21154

Re: Toast needs some help

Firstly keep your loo seat down at all times. Secondly bath panels are really easy to remove. They will either be screwed on - possibly with caps over the screws which pull off - just remove the screws and it will come off. Some more modern ones which are just plastic are pushed in and will come awa...

Re: Cage recommendations please!

The Mamble 100cm is probably more suitable for bucks as it is bigger than the Freddy 2 max and has a larger footprint. The Freddy 2 max is a studier cage however so would probably last you longer. If you are looking for a longer cage which will last a long time what about http://www.littlepetwarehou...

Re: Sick Rat... Very Worried!

It's possible your rats have parasitic bronchitis and not a respiratory infection as they are about the right age for it and you say the other 2 are also sneezy which suggests that could be the cause. A respiratory infection will require treatment with antibiotics but parasitic bronchitis will requi...

Re: Rat breeders in Scotland (Highlands or Aberdeenshire)

Can't help with breeders but there were a few ads for rats in scotland posted on rat rescue network uk on facebook over the last few days if that helps at all.

Personally I just hold on tight and syringe it in as that's the quickest way for me. Other people however mix it with something yummy and feed it off a spoon

I have a lady on diuretics so certain hammocks I have to change every few days as they become sodden with pee and stinky.

Re: Sudden onset of lethargy?

Good luck at the vets.

Re: Name this cage please

In the US they are known as feisty ferret cages http://m.drsfostersmith.com/product/pro ... atid=17371. In the UK I haven't seen it called anything. They're not significantly larger than freddy 2 max cages and are flimsy and rust quicker than explorers / srs's
