Re: Honey's tumour looking rather bad - advice please

I have been told on another forum it is beginning to ulcerate  I am devasted, I don't know how Treasure will cope as they are so close. Nor how will I really. But I am pleased she made it to past 2 and has lived her whole life relatively pain free, I was terrified of it ulcerating when I am not...

Re: PTS time? Feels too soon

Sounds very similar to my Honey, except she developed her tumour just after 18 months of age last december and it has only been growing very slowly but now is a considerable size, I have only just started to think it is time for pts now, as I think it is beginning to ulcerate, I am awaiting replies ...

Honey's tumour looking rather bad - advice please

Honey developed a tumour in her groin last december at about 19 months old, it was really tiny at first but I still took her to the vets straight away. The vet suggested doing an ultrasound first before thinking about leaving it and monitering it until it gets a bit bigger than opting for surgery or...

Re: Honey was 'choking' ??

Thankyou :) I must admit I did panic a tad, afterwards she just ran off to chase Treasure and left me rather confused!

Honey was 'choking' ??

Gave me a huge scare, It was quite a long time ago now, I've been meaning to post but kept forgetting  I gave Honey and Treasure a couple of bran flakes (the cereal) each, they both love them and had had them before. But one time Honey started moving her tongue around as though she had got som...

Re: Please help, think Honey has a tumour

Thankyou :) Well got a text from my mum just after 1pm saying the vets had rung to say Honey had come round fine, I was in psychology and squealed when I read it!  Well the ultrasound showed the lump was a fatty hernia, she is not overweight or fed a fatty diet though. The vet thinks it ...

Re: Please help, think Honey has a tumour

Thankyou :) I was planning on that yes as she is only having an ultrasound tomorrow, if it is a hernia it shouldn't need removing unless the vets think it will affect her or if it is a tumour he said he may need to wait till it is a teeny bit bigger before he can remove. Thanks about the exam too, i...

Re: Please help, think Honey has a tumour

Thankyou :) Hopefully my exams on Tuesday won't be until later so I can drop them off and then catch a later bus in. I don't want to keep poking at Honey but she knows the trick 'up' so I ask her to do it for a treat and have been having a peek then and you can still only just see the lump at certai...

Re: Please help, think Honey has a tumour

Ah, I apologise in that case, he has a fair point. Just wanted to mention it as sometimes vets are told to throw expensive techniques at problems when they are really not necessary just to make a bit more money. Good luck with Honey and hope your exams go well :luck: No need to apologise :) Thankyo...

Re: Please help, think Honey has a tumour

Thankyou everyone. He said with a hernia he would like to wait to see how it goes, remove it if it starts to change/effect her in any way. With a tumour it will be removed so he wants to do the ultrasound before going straight in to remove it. Jilly that is a good idea about the bunny carrier thanky...
