Re: Adult chat?

I believe that we absolutely HAVE to help bolster the people side of the rat community, you're far more likely to help out, 'behave' and protect that community if you feel you belong to a group of people. ^^^ this. I don't just want to talk about rats. Not necessarily the sexy stuff, but I need som...

Re: Adult chat?

There is alot of things on a few threads I wish I didn't know about certain users! Not that I am against it at all (im quite fruity myself haha).. Its just, well.. Its hard to explain.. I just think some users should re-consider what they are posting on an open forum, It could be anyone reading it....

I'm so sorry (((HUGS))) it's such a hard time, difficult decision. I usually sit in my vets waiting room in floods of tears

I also found that using massage particularly a la Tellington Touch massage on my tilty girl (after ABs and Steroids) got rid of it completely. I don't know if there are still descriptions of how to do it online but if I remember it's small circles, clockwise, of 1 and 1/4 rotations.

Re: Anything else I can do for Rosie - severe breathing issu

How well do nebuliser's work for this sort of thing? I may pick one up on Friday, any specific one you would suggest? No idea! I bought mine on ebay after I lost Imogen to Myco (6 months after first trying the combo - she was 19 months but I'd lost her sister to it at 12 months) but I've never actu...

If she has already been on the Baytril for a while with no signs of improvement I would consider adding another anti-biotic into her treatment. People have had good results using Doxycycline (Ronaxan) alongside Baytril. I hope your girl gets better soon :luck: ^^^ This. What vets are you with? Not ...

Re: Sendai/ SDAV

Angie, why is it suspected that one of the new rats has a virus? Is it Pearle that you're concerned about? not sure why if she shows no sign of illness - do any of your others show signs of illness (I've read that it is possible for the rat who brings in the problem to show no signs of illness but o...

Re: Advice Re: Drooling and foaming rat

I think it was probably chokin or at least stuck food. i think foaming can just be an excess of saliva. When Zemmi was like this the vet wondered whether he'd eaten something that disagreed with him (like a spider!) and got a bite as he thought maybe there was a mark on his tongue, but Zem wouldn't ...

Re: Ab for a 10 week old?

Aww glad he's ok! Lucian is 12 weeks but was only 135g when he got his throat abscess. It was like a big adams apple and I was amazed at how it went down so well - there was a pin prick hole in the middle so I think it did drain outward (scared of gunk going in) There's nothing there now except for ...

Re: Ab for a 10 week old?

I think Clav or Synulox or Septrin Liquid "palatable" (apparently it isn't though!) Synulox is expensive (I know just having had some for a lump on my minirat's throat, an abscess which thankfully cleared very quickly) and made up lasts only a week-10 days (it's powder you add water to) Someone on h...
