Re: The Savic Royal Family

That's a shame it arrived with so many faults :( . Don't know if it was zooplus, but I remember a lot of people had trouble a while back with damaged ones arriving.

Re: Loss of end of tail - bleeding

How is he doing now? Hope there's no more blood.

I might be wrong but I'd have thought it would be a good idea to be on antibiotics with an open tail wound?

Re: Advice on zgt please

Sometimes they do go down hill ever so quickly with them. The last time one of mine had one, it was only about two weeks from noticing symptoms to deciding it was time to pts. Other times it's been more like 2 months.

Wishing you strength for this afternoon :( :hearts:

Re: Please help - 2 rats dead, another dying.

I'm so sorry, and I don't know what to suggest other than using the medicine you have there, and keeping a very close eye on them.
Is there a good vet that has an emergency weekend service?
I'm so sorry this is happening.

Re: It'd be selfish to keep him with us for longer wouldn't

It's unlikely anything to do with intros. But if he was ok only a few weeks back it does sound more serious than HLD and general old age stuff. Dodgy front paws always make me think of a PT, you may well be right that something neurological is going on. If so there may be treatment available that co...

Re: ear infection?

Sounds like it would be a good idea to try and speak to one of their vets over the phone before going all that way.

The idiot vet you saw - he's not the only vet at your normal surgery is he? Just thought maybe you could ask to see a better one there?

Re: URGENT. What has gone wrong?

I didn't know that there was an anaesthetic that couldn't be used, I feel so stupid, I wish I'd checked that out. Our vet is closed now, and their emergency line unfortunately goes to somewhere that probably couldn't tell a rat from a rabbit.. Don't feel stupid, it's normal to expect a vet to know ...
