Feeder breeding - Guidelines

Post by Fancy Rats Admin » Thu Jul 21, 2011 2:55 pm

Guidelines for posting

Fancy Rats exists for the benefit of rats as a species and recognises the need for a forum where those who breed rats to feed other pet or captive animal species, such as snakes, can discuss and seek advice on the care and breeding of those rats. Methods of home euthanasia are not allowed to be described or discussed as per the forum rules.

Choose a post title that will clearly indicate your question, so "How long should I rest a doe between litters" rather than "help needed" as an example.

We accept that the topic of rats as feeders is a difficult one for many who keep rats as pets, so a separate forum for discussion of their care and breeding allows those who breed rats for food to seek help and advice while those who do not wish to view threads on the subject, can avoid this forum.

There will be some overlap of topics in this section with other sections of the board. People who breed rats for food may often have different requirements than those who keep rats as pets and keeping all topics for feeder breeders in one section means this overlap is necessary.

Autoprune
Autoprune is a feature that automatically deletes threads that have not been posted to within a certain amount of days.

In this forum autoprune is set to a year.
Regards,
Fancy Rats Team
