Post by Vegan_bunny » Mon Jul 10, 2017 12:10 pm

Contact details: Vegan_bunny
Location: Middlesbrough

Number of groups of rats: 1

Group number: 1
Number of rats in group: 1
Gender: male
Age(s): 10-11 weeks
Name(s): none
Colours/varieties: black hooded
Neutered: no

Reason for rehoming: My friend was contacted by somebody who "wants rid" of their rat. They've only had him a few weeks and is between 10 and 11 weeks old. He's being kept in a hamster cage.
My friend can take him temporarily but she has 2 rats of her own and isn't really in a position to take him on permanently. Her rats are not very tame and she's not confident enough to bond them.

Temperament: not known
Medical problems: none known
Will the group be split (only relevant for groups of 4 and over): n/a

Transport available: I can transport if needed.
Other: He needs out of that awful cage asap.

Update: Apparently he doesn't like being picked up but is happy to sit on your shoulder and have nose rubs.

Don't all jump in at once. Good job he's being fostered and may have a forever home. If anybody has a rat cage they don't use anymore in the local area, that would be really helpful. Collected him today and he's in an awful hamster cage. He also has a deformed front leg and is snuffly, although that's most likely from his filthy cage. At least he is now clean and safe.

Did send a PM about it! Glad to hear he's possibly got a home anyway though :luck:
