True... never saw fleece as comfortable for them. My current new girls love kicking there bedding about :lol:

What cage do you have TheaOlivia?

If you cover a flat shelf with fleece, it will just get smelly from being weeed on, or they would shred it up, so basically a bit pointless. ;)

Ah ok - thanks! That's really helpful, so I'll keep the various types of substrate that we have at the moment, and see how they like it etc, and not go near fleece then.

I just really want them to be happy, and am really hoping that the more they get used to us, the more they explore their cage etc and not hide under their little bridge the whole time - i worry!

I worry about you still saying 'their' little bridge - only one of them will be in that part of the cage! ;)

Make sure the levels separating them are made of metal and are secure, they'd be able to get through plastic. I suggest you order the alaska cage asap so that they are properly separate.
