It really depends on the op as healing times vary. I've never introduced an immediately post-op rat before, but at a guess, if they look like they're healed well enough for a normal height cage, they're probably healed well enough for introductions, seeing as you're generally starting them off in a tightly confined space anyway so the amount of movement is going to be significantly minimised.
