Exercising rats

Post by Mrc1988 » Sun Apr 01, 2018 7:11 pm

I am looking at getting pet rats but as a first timer I have done lots of research but I still have some questions. My main question is do people exercise both/all of their rats out of the cage at the same time or do you get them out one at a time?

Definitely at the same time. The best way is the block off a hallway or the bathroom, provided there are no holes or wires. Put some things in there for them to play with, like wooden wine racks, old towels to hide under, carpet tubes to climb through, and the best thing is a dog bed pillow thing for you to sit on sothe rats can use you as a climbing frame.
Officially ratless. Groot, Star-lord, Yondu adopted by another rat lover.

Plus - I would advise starting with three rats rather than just two. It's much better for them socially to be in a group of at least three, and more fun for you too. :luck:
