HELP! Female aggressive towards males

Post by Ratty0292 » Fri Oct 04, 2019 6:17 pm

Hi everyone, last night for the first time ever my female ratty was pinning my boys (her brothers) down very agressively not in a playful way, they were screeching and she bit one of my boys there was blood everywhere, I have now separated them I feel sorry for her because she's on her own now, I don't know why she has suddenly turned, could it possibly be because my 2 boys have been neutered this year so I could have them together, but could it be that because they don't want to mate with her anymore? I'm scared to put her back in with them as I have my elderly rat in there too and I really don't want her to hurt him.
Any advice will be appreciated thank you

How old are they and when did you have them neutered?

Did your female have a litter? If not, could you post a photo of her bits, just in case she's actually a buck with retained testicles. ;)
