noticed one of my boys is acting strangely, he is squeaking whenever his rear end is touched, I've also noticed his brother is getting quite aggressive. What should I be looking out for? I imaging I need to look out for cuts but figured I should ask anyway to be safe.

Have these changes happened at the same time? It could be that the squeaky one has injured the base of his tail and the other is frustrated by wanting to play when he doesn't due to being in pain. Does he react when you are handling him? If it is an injury it's likely to heal up within a few days, and if you have a low level hospital cage then I'd move them into that while he heals.

Otherwise, or if you have more than the two rats, and the aggressive one is picking on the other, then it could mean he'll need to be neutered - how old is he?
