What litter?

Post by Jenni2317 » Fri Apr 29, 2016 9:16 am

I want to start toilet training my rats but not sure what kind of litters are available for them, do they need litter or can it be another type of substrate. I use Eco bed type substrate at the moment so thinking of using wood chippings / shaving or aubriouse in the litter tray? Also I've saw Bob Martin paper litter is this an option. Thanks in advance for any advice

I use paper pellets in the toilet corners, they absorb fluid and odours well without disintegrating - either papelit from finacard or back2nature.

I find pellet type litters are better in litter trays, lighter stuff ends up getting kicked everywhere. I use either Back 2 Nature or Breeder Celect.

I use breeder celect too.
Officially ratless. Groot, Star-lord, Yondu adopted by another rat lover.
