Rat collar??

This may sound weird, but I was wondering, if I could temporarily wear a collar (soft, diy) to one of my rats? I recently got 2 male black rats and gosh, they look exacly the same... so I was wondering, if until I get to know how to tell the difference between them, this would be an option? Or is the risk of them getting caught somewhere and hurting themselves too high?

It might be a bit uncomfortable for them, and as you say, there is a risk of it getting snagged on something. There's also a good chance it'll just get gnawed off, that's the usual ratty answer to anything like that!

One that I've seen recommended many times is to put different-coloured dabs of food colouring on the base of their tails - it won't bother them, it's harmless if they do decide to clean it off, and you can just add a little more if it fades until you're happy you can tell them apart without it :)

Even if you did manage to attach something, I doubt it would stay on for long  If it did, it probably wouldn't be very comfortable. I know breeders will sometimes use marker pen on the tail to tell kittens apart (making sure to use a non-toxic brand, I think sharpies are okay, but no personal experience).

Hopefully you'll get used to slight shade or face width differences (etc!) soon. It's possible they have some tiny white markings on their feet or even just toes that may also help!

Yes, sharpies are fine - red stays on the longest.
