Using white vinegar for cleaning??

Post by Lizzie47 » Sun Oct 02, 2011 10:21 pm

I currently have an unneutered rabbit in my bedroom, I found him as a stray a while back and he is not neutered as of yet so does spray. I have been told to use white vinegar to clean the marks off my carpet, this smells fairly strongly and the ratties are in the same room, I am just wondering if this would have any effect on their health?? They don't seem to notice it, I have only done it once tonight to remove a stain I didn't catch in time to just clean with water, I have googled it and it appears to be safe to use but just wanted to check. Hopefully Boris can be neutered soon so the spraying will stop!! Thankyou

It is safe. I use white vinegar to clean my cages, as do alot of other ratty owners! :D x

It's safe to use :) Smells quite strongly to start with, but the smell should dissapear really quickly.
