This is my current set-up (Critter 3). And I was worried that I was over filling it with stuff, but looking at other set-ups, I think I'm under doing it!
I recently turned the top level around so the holes in the floors are not on top of each other (because I also recently removed the ramp to the top level and used a wooden "rope" for them to climb up and down with instead), to reduce the falling distance. But the girls seem very confused by this. They don't use the "wooden rope" any more, they just seem to jump down, or climb the wall to get up. But they used it before I moved the hole.
The multi-coloured rope goes through all three levels. They just seem to ignore that too.
This is the top level. They sleep in the Hammock all the time. The cardboard box is new, and they have started to use that too, but they get destroyed in urine too quickly. I need to find a way to protect them.
This is the middle level. They never really use the hammock here, unless hiding while eating. The box on the left has treats hidden in the (clean) sand. The teddy is the last of 4, that have been mercilessly torn apart for their insides to be used as bedding. Haha
The bottom level. Nothing too fancy. Food, water, litter tray.
We keep the cage beside our couches, so we are always near them, and they lay in the top hammock and just stare at us. It is kind of creepy. But hey, we love em!
