Hammock
Step 1
Cut out 2 rectangles. One from the cotton and one from the fleece. Also cut

Step 2
Sew the 2 bits of fabric together with the right sides together leaving a gap to turn it the right way out. When you're sewing, make sure you sew the bits of webbing in so when you turn it the right way out you have 4 loops to hang the hammock from.

Step 3
Now cut 2 smallerrectangles from your fabrics. These will make the pocket. Sew these in the same way as the above step, but don't sew webbing in.

Step 4
Now sew velcro onto each piece. These go on each end of the pocket so the heat pad will stay in. It also means you can use the hammock as a normal hammock when you don't need a heat pad. Make sure the fleece on the larger piece faces upwards for rats to sleep on. You also want the fleece on the smaller piece to face the cotton on the larger piece.

Step 5
Now line the pieces up so the smaller piece is in the middle of the larger piece. Sew along the sides that don't have velcro on to secure the 2 bits together and that is the hammock complete.

This hammock will work for any heat pad that you have. If you don't have one then keep reading.
Heat Pad
Step 1
Cut 2 rectangles of denim and 2 of cotton.

Step 2
Sew one piece of denim to one piece of cotton in the same way you sewed the hammock. Repeat for the other 2 bits.

Step 3
Now sew these bits together leaving a space to fill with rice.

Step 4
Now fill the pocket with rice.

Step 5
Sew up the space where you filled the heat pad and you're done.
