Hi Guys thought id repost this just in case anyone missed it on the old forum
Knitted Round Beds

Circlier Needles

WALL

cast on 114 stitches and knit until works mesures 7ins

BASEthen pearl a linedivide the 114 sts into 38sts so you should ave 3x38 mark the begining of the 38 so you should ave 3*the begining of the first 38 knit two together begining then in the middle and two together end so you ave deleted 3 stitches do it for the next 38 and the next *knit a full line all 3x38 stscontinue from* to * you might want to change to pin needles as you have less stitches and the circlar needles becomes too big continue on pin needles * from * until 5 stitches left then thread wool through stitches and pull tightly

WALLturn the item inside out and fold the wall onto it self so its doubled then stitch it onto the base you can pack the middle with stuffin so its more comfy and stands up better

long tunnels

4 pins you can cast on how many stitches you want for this item but i cast on 13 stitches per needle so it 13x3then it just a case of knitting round and round until your work measures the length you want it and then cast off

corner hammock

on knittin needlescast on 60 stitchesknit a line then pearl a line*then on this knit line at the begining knit two together and the next two together *then knit to the last 4 stitches and knit two together and two together*pearl a line, knit a line, pearl a line,repeat * from to *until you have 2 stitches remaining and tie off

rat wig wam

knittin needlescast on 30 stitches knit a line pearl a lineon a knit line at the begining knit two together and knit together at end*pearl a line,knit a line,pearl a line*on a knit line at the begining knit two together and knit two together at the endrepeat * from to *until you have 4 stitches left cast off

wallswhen you have 4 pieces or walls sew togther all pices rememberin to leave a whole in between two pieces low down so your rats can get in and out

floor at the base of your walls or one wall pick up 30 stitches or just cast on 30 stitches on your needles knit aline pearl aline until your works is big enough for the base of your wig wam cast off stitches and sew onto your base of your wig wam walls

knitted small round beds

the four pins cast on 90 stitches thats 30 stitches per pin so its 3x30knit until work measures 7ins

base

then pearl a line*start knitting again at the begining knit together then in the middle knit together and at the end knit together do this on each 30 stitches on each pins*then knit all stitchesrepeat * from to * until 5 stitches remain and tie off

turn inside out and fold wall onto itself so its double then sew onto base then you can pack the middle with stuffin so its more comfy and stands up better

igloos

knit as same as small or large round bed but dont pack walls

tops

large tops

knitting needlescast on 84 stitches*knit a line pearl aline*on a knit line at the beginging knit 19 stitches then knit together then 19 stitches then knit together then again knit 19 stitches and together 19 stitches*then pearl a linereapeat * to and from * but dont knit 19 knit 18 then 17 etc until 9 stitches remain tie up and sew on your base leaving a hole for your rat

small lop

knitting needles

cast on 64 stitches*knit a line pearl aline*on a knit line at the beginging knit 14 stitches then knit together then 14 stitches then knit together then again knit 14 stitches and together 14 stitches*then pearl a linereapeat * to and from * but dont knit 13 knit 12 then 11 etc until 6 stitches remain tie up and sew on your base leaving a hole for your rat

hammock tunnel

circlier needle cast on 114 stitches knit until work is big enough to stretch across your cage then cast offif your rats love them as much as mine to sleep on top and inside this hammock

rattie harmchairback cast on 20stsknit line pearl line till work measures 10ins

topon a knit line pearl instead knit a line pearl line knit line pearl line 4 lineson a knit line pearl instead

frontknit line pearl line until work measures 6ins

seaton a pearl line knit a linethen carry on knit line pearl line until work measures 6ins

front bottomon a knit line pearl instead knit line pearl line knit line pearl line 4timeson a knit line pearl line instead knit line pearl line knit line pearl lin 4 timeson a knit line pearl instead continue to knit line pearl line until work measures 3half ins

baseon a knit line pearl line instead knit line pearl line until work measures 7inson a knit line pearl line insteadthen cast off sew cast off to other end of base

arms pick up 20sts on the base knit line pearl line until work measures 6half insput 4 sts onto a safty clip this is for side going up forbetween back and front of chair sidethe other 16sts continue until work measures 10ins cast off sew onto seat of chair

sides the 4sts put back on needles knit line pearl line until work measuresto the cushion sides then cast off and sew piece onto side front and back

This may be a daft question, but do they not get tangled in them?

Hi
i have heard that some other peoples ratties have got tangled in the holes. But i can truthly say my ratties have never got tangled in anything ive made or put into their cages ie blankets, fleece, or woollen things
