No boggling?

Post by BlueGreenBeanie » Mon Sep 02, 2019 7:38 am

I'm a fairly inexperienced rat owner. I've had rats for five or so months now - two boys, Bilbo and Timmy. I've only had Timmy for a month. The rat I got with Bilbo (Bean) passed away and so I got Timmy so that Bilbo wouldn't be lonely.

I'm a little concerned though because I have never once seen either of my boys boggle. Bean would boggle occasionally when I cuddled him but Bilbo and Timmy haven't. They seem quite happy and healthy but I'm wondering if I'm missing something. Do some rats just not do it?

Any advice on what I can do to make them super-happy?

I'm sure it will come with time.

Incidentally, I'd recommend adding a couple of kittens to your group before long, because rats are generally more content in groups of 3 or more. :luck:
