Re: Double SRS/ Explorer
Hello it's me :D Yes I had my two Savic Royals as a double. When I had everyone together as one big group I had it all open in the middle. There was a gap between the plastic trays, I put a strip of correx there. I dismantled the wheely bases and used the side poles in the very middle of the double ...

Re: Shelves for rat room.
Sounds cool. Are the shelves going to be used for anything heavy or are they for the ratties to climb on? I've no idea what the right way would be but would say if it's for the rats I expect either way would be strong enough!?

Re: FAO owners of last summer's roan invasion rescues
I'm sorry it's happened to you too Amzy. It really seems like there's some dodgy genetic condition been passed down to these poor rats. Maybe the abscess death was also due more to a heart problem? Just goes to show why breeding should be left to people like you, who know what they're doing! I'm gla...

FAO owners of last summer's roan invasion rescues
I've already PM'd everyone who adopted any of these babies directly from me last summer, but for those of you who adopted any after they went to shiprat's, as I don't know who most of you are I'm posting here. It's just to make you aware of a possible health issue. Last month I received a message to...

Re: My first girl group and first mammary lump
Her boy Goff had a lump removed, which was found to be a tumour showing signs of malignancy. Far as I know there's been no regrowth so far. I haven't heard of any others from those 2 litters growing lumps yet.
Sorry, hope she makes a speedy recovery from any operation x x

Re: My first girl group and first mammary lump
Is she one of the roan girls originally from devon? Just wondering as one of lovethetails' boys from that rescue needed a lump removed afew months ago. I'm sure she wouldn't mind if you wanted to PM her for details.

Re: diabetes?
There should be a special diet on here somewhere for diabetic rats.

Re: Giving a rat medicine tips please :)
I find a small blob of Nutella works with most meds/rats.
One tip I think I recall for direct syringing, is not to squirt in over 0.1ml at a time cause they can't manage it. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

Re: Haemolytic anaemia - spatone?
I had a girl several years back with a massively enlarged spleen which was removed, she wasn't around much longer though and I would likely do things differently now. The thread is on the old forum somewhere. I've never used spatone before (don't know if I've heard of it  ) I just gave her lot...

Re: foxy's situation
Have a look around this forum, I know there are people with massive rat cages and also some whose rats spend the majority of the day free ranging. I think with the help of this forum you'd be able to find her a new home you'd be happy with, where she'd have friends and still also have plenty of free...
