Soft food for a senior lady rat

Post by Raptorius » Tue Aug 10, 2021 8:17 am

My little lady rat has gotten old. I think she's got poor eyesight, she's hardly climbing anymore and I've noticed that she probably has trouble eating dry food, but she eats everything soft with a relative appetite.

Does anyone have any ideas or advice on nutritious soft food for rats?

Interestingly enough the sister of this female rat, from the same litter, is still full of strength. But maybe it's like with humans, some people drop off faster...

Rat Rations sells a mix which can be fed wet, #10, and if you need to build her up a bit, then moo mix is useful. Both found here.
